This is a fantastic dress. I wish i could wear it again. I bought it at RK Bridal in Manhattan. The brand is Larry Couture. It has a beautiful natural looking fabric- it looks like raw silk, but I assume it is not considering the price I paid.
My size at the time of the wedding (December 2007) was 10(bust-38, waist 31.5, hip 41). The actual dress size is a 12 however. I am 5'3 and wore flats to the wedding, so the current hem-line reflects this.
There is a lavender sash that is currently attached, but could easily be removed and/or replaced by any tailor (the stitching is very minimal).
I dry cleaned the dress two days after our wedding and stored it in plastic on a separate rack from my other clothes where it was protected from sunlight.
